DeskMini 110 will be supporting Skylake and Kaby Lake CPU.

If you would like to use i3-8100 Coffee Lake CPU kindy use DeskMini below: 
DeskMini 310 Series 
DeskMini GTX/RX (Z370)

No, it is not compatible, with any BIOS version now or ever. The socket may be 1151 but it is not the same socket electrically. I don't know what intel were thinking with this decision but no Coffee lake CPUs are compatible with 100 and 200 series boards. The same goes the other way too, no Skylake or Kaby Lake CPUs are compatible with the 300 series chipset.

The new 8th gen CPUs should be viewed as being on their own socket (300 series).
