Hi. I am updating an old desktop computer with new hardware: an ASRock B650M Pro RS Wifi motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 8600G CPU (I plan on using the integrated graphics), fan, and two 16gb sticks of DDR5 RAM. After flashing the BIOS to the latest version, 3.06, I did a bench test and all went PERFECT and booted into the BIOS! After the bench test, without installing the new hardware in my PC, I plugging my SSD into the motherboard, hoping that it would start up Windows from my old SSD and run the new hardware. In the "storage" section of the BIOS, my SSD is recognized to be plugged into SATA Port1 when the SATA mode is set to AHCI. However, it boots up the BIOS and that is as far as I get. Under Boot Option Priorities no device is shown including my SSD SATA drive.
QUESTION: How do I get the BIOS to recognize my SSD drive as a boot option? |
