I'm trying to figure out if the b350 Pro4 board is compatible with Patriot Viper Elite 2133mhz PVE416G213C4KGY. I'm getting 30-second boot loop. Won't Post.
It's not on the Asrock QVL list, but it is on the Patriot Ryzen list. Patriot tech support told me: "The Ryzen core with your Asrock B350 Pro4 motherboard at 2133Mhz speeds use RANK 1 memory. The Patriot PVE416G213C4KGY is RANK 2 (incompatible with Ryzen Core). For it to work, you can try any A-Series APU?s." I haven't received a reply back after pointing out this memory is on their Ryzen list. But that was late Friday, maybe they don't work weekends. New Pro4 board, bios sticker says 3.00. New R7 1700 CPU. My trusty Radeon 6570 and PSU and one hard drive I've used multiple times recently on other setups. Everything is out of the case. One memory stick. Tried different slots. Clicks in. 8-pin CPU plug connected. Radeon 6570 in all the way. Tried second PCIe slot too. I'm assuming and hoping it's the memory, but it's on Patriot's list, and people say with newer bioses memory should at least Post and run at 2133mhz. Would it boot loop if the CPU is bad? Does Pro4 give error beeps? I read those are turned off. I don't have a speaker. I'll get one if the beeps aren't turned off. Edited by efm - 22 Oct 2017 at 3:20pm |
