So...New system just built w/ a Ryzen 1600. Everything works and runs great. I am interested however in getting the memory to run at 3000. I also realize XMP is worthless..and it won't run the xmp profile at all. Bios is 3.20 I would like to set it manually using the data from typhoon, however in the bios...there is no option available to change the Mem Freq., only timings and voltage.
I have read around and understand that xmp is mainly for Intel..which is why the profiles do not work with the ryzen...but xmp is the only option that gives an option to change freq. I hope this makes sense.   Memory is Gskill f4 3000c15d-16gvrb

Have you changed to Advanced Mode from EZ Mode in the UEFI? All of the screens below are only available in the Advanced UEFI option.

I can't believe you don't have a DRAM Timing Configuration screen option in the OC Tweaker screen, in a B350 board with UEFI version 3.20

You should also have a DRAM Frequency option in the OC Tweaker screen.

Also, do you have this screen: Advanced\AMD CBS\DRAM Timing Configuration?

The XMP profile in not necessarily useless. While it is a standard designed by Intel,  if the data it contains is populated to work with AMD systems, then it can be used fine. XMP data is just a convenience feature to make configuring memory easy.

But if the XMP data is not perfect for AMD/Ryzen, which may be what you mean, then you can still apply the XMP profile to get the memory frequency option, and then manually change the other memory options. You're saying that the only way to get a memory frequency option is to enable XMP, correct?

If so, just do that, and either set all the other memory settings you are uncertain about to Auto, or to a value you (somehow) know is right.

You mentioned Thaiphoon Burner data. Thaiphoon Burner reads data from your memory, since all memory has multiple data profiles on it, besides the XMP profile. The other data is the JEDEC memory data profiles, one example of that is the stock/default memory speed and timings are stored and used by the UEFI/BIOS.

My point is if the XMP profile data was configured for Intel systems, ALL of the JEDEC data will also be configured for Intel systems. So unless you are using some custom memory profiles provided by Thaiphoon Burner, the data read from your memory will be for Intel systems. That does not mean that all of it will not apply to an AMD AM4 system, that varies depending upon the model of memory.

We have no idea what model of memory you have.

Thank you for the response. Memory: Gskill F4-3000C15D 16GVRB

I have looked at screenshots online of others with same mobo and UEFI as I and they have a setting I dont have. Oddly enough...I have Load XMP profile and right below it I have memory training. Whereas on the others there is a third option between those two that says DRAM frequency.

I know..it's weird as hell.  It is possible that it was there before I loaded the XMP profile ( which wouldn't boot, just went thru the training 3 times and and re booted at stock speed 21xx. Or maybe it wasnt there to begin with I am not sure to be honest.

I reset the CMOS jumper. Still the same. When I try to change Frequency in XMP settings options..it does as I said above. I have not tried changing any timings yet. I was just dumbfounded when I realized there is supposed to be a 3rd option there for me.

It should say :   Load Xmp Profile
                        DRam Frequency
                        Memory training

I just checked and I do have DRAM  config in AMD CBS.  I was not aware it was on the other page under AMD CBS.  There is also an option I had not heard any mention of in other threads to enable OC. I checked that set the ram Freq left all else in auto..and am running at 2933. Thank you I can go from here..will run a few tests to see if it is stable.

I was getting confused at the difference in my UEFI and others I had seen posted online of the same interface. OC tweaker did not have an opton for me btw..only Advanced. I appreciate your time.
