Hello, new to the forum.  I just installed an I7 8700 nonk into a asrock z370m-itx board.  Everything is working correctly except the cpu.  It is stuck at 3170mhz on all cores.  Is there a way to get the turbo boost active and is there a way to activate MCE - multi core enhancement so that I can run all cores at 4600 mhz?

Thanks

Without having the board to test I am afraid I can't tell you any more than your user manual can. Take a look in your UEFI under all the sections and see what you can find. Typically these options will be under the "OC Tweaker" section under CPU.

There are no options outside of boot performance.  It just seems weird to me that I cant get the cpu to turbo boost at all.

It is literally stuck at 3182mhz on all 4 cores.  I have tried to stress test and/or load the cpu up.

I even went into power options and put it at high performance.

I am able to run my corsair lpx 3000 memory at 3300 mhz.  Thats a positive.

I disabled intel speed step as well with no such luck.

Ok, i fix it.

For some odd reason the board when you boot to bios, sets the BLCK to 102.3 mhz.  You have to edit that and set it to auto.

This is located in OCTweaker/Cpuconfiguration

Now i have all cores running at 4600mhz.  Yay!!!!

Awesome, thanks for posting back Thumbs Up

ASRock's UEFI is usually pretty intuitive but sometimes you have to tinker a bit to figure things out Wink

Not a problem.  I also used this as well from their tech support but I adjusted other things b/c I want the voltage but I will post these settings as well.

Thank you for contacting ASRock support.

Please turn the power off, clear the CMOS.

Load the BIOS setting default to try.

If problem still persiist, please adjust the setting below to try.

1. Long Duration Power Limit : 4095
2. Short Duration Power Limit : 4095
3. Long Duration Maintained : 56
Note: please make sure your cooling system is efficient.
