Hello guys,
first time for me in the forum. I assembled a new desktop with the following components: Mobo Asrock H270M Pro4 CPU Intel I5-7400 kaby PSU Thermaltake Smart SE 530W (Haswell ready) 2x 8Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400Mhz CL14 CMK16GX4M2A2400C14R SSD Samsung MZ-V6E250BW SSD 960 EVO, 250 GB, M.2 2x fans Artic F12 PWM PST When i press the power button, fans starts winding, but i got no signal in my monitor. Mouse led is also blinking but the keyboard appear disconnected (no lights on). I tried to connect the monitor both using HDMI that DVI port gotting the same results (no video). What can i do? Should i try something particular? Any led have to light on in the motherboard when powered? |

Dear Master83,
Thank you for choosing ASRock.
Regarding
your case, we provide some suggestions to try: 1.
Clear CMOS to load BIOS default. 2.
Remove the
power cord, put the clear CMOS jumper to 2-3, and remove the CMOS battery for 3
minutes. Please check user
manual p7 to find the clear
CMOS jumper. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H97M%20Pro4/?cat=Manual 3.
Only install CPU and one stick memory to
check if the system can boot into BIOS properly. 4.
Please try to install one stick memory at
A1, B1, A2 and B2 slot to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly. 5.
Reinstall CPU and check if CPU socket pin is
fine. 6.
If it is possible, please change another CPU
or DRAM to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.
Thank
you! Yours
truly, ASRock

Do you have both the 24 pin ATX and 4/8 pin CPU power cables from the PSU connected to the board? Both are required or the CPU won't start. Is the memory in the A2 and B2 slots? Be sure the memory is fully seated in the DIMM slots. Be sure to have the mouse and keyboard connected to the USB 2.0 ports. The keyboard may not work at all until you install Windows 10, and won't work if you use Windows 7. Are all the parts like the PSU new? Do you think the PSU is working correctly? Did you check the CPU socket for bent pins when you installed the CPU? |

lil pro tip:
Almost all the pros will eventually resort to a complete teardown and rebuild if they can't work out what the problem is, its surprising how often that works ![]() ![]() Glad to hear you got it sorted.
