rgb led utility lacks color gradients?

   I just received my tai chi x370 and am happy with it, except I discovered that theRGB LED utility doesn't support creating color gradients. (transitioning from one user defined color to another defined color.) 

Am I missing something? if not, do we know if there are any plans to add this feature?

While I don't mind sticking with one color at a time, it is a little disappointing to be stuck with either a full on rainbow effect or a single color.
