I am hoping for some help on 2 questions about the System Panel Headers (Nos. 17 and 18) on the z370 Taichi.

Question 1: there appears to be an extra "ground" pin right after the HDLED +/- pins on the System Panel Header (p.1, No. 17).

The panel header No. 17 has (bottom row): HDLED+/HDLED-/GND/RESET#/GND

The HDLED+/- from my case does not have a wire for the GND pin following the HDLED +/- pins. Can I just leave that GND open? Will it damage the board if I do?

Question 2: The top row of the Panel Header calls for: PLED+/PLED-/PWRBTN#/GND. But the PLED wires from my case are in a plastic 3-pin connector, which has the +/- on the sides and a no contact slot (open or "dead" hole) in the middle. So it will not fit on the Panel Header No. 17.

Can I put that PLED connection on Panel Header p.1, No. 18, which has 3 pins?

(I have no problem with the reset pins and the PWRBTN pins, as they line up).

Thanks for your help.

The unused pin between the HDD LED and the Reset switch pins is normal, nothing to worry about.

The power LED can be connected to either of the 2 labeled power LED headers depending on if it is the 3 pin or 2 pin variant. That is why there are 2 Wink
