The capacity of any NVMe SSD has nothing to do with its compatibility with a mother board or its UEFI/BIOS. All SSDs of the same model use the same SSD controller, the actual interface to the mother board. The only difference between them is their capacity, the number of NAND chips in the SSD, and possibly a different capacity of the IO buffer, which is a DRAM memory chip. Just like a SATA HDD or SSD of any capacity can be used with any mother board, the same is true for any NVMe SSD of any capacity. |

Dear Jsteidl,
Thank you for contacting ASRock.
All the SSD on the storage QVL have been tested on the ASRock motherboard without any problem. Because we don?™t have 500GB and 1TB Samsung 960 EVO in our lab now, so we cannot put it on the storage QVL. Z370 Taichi support NVMe SSD as boot disk, so Samsung 960 EVO 500GB and 1TB should works fine on Z370 Taichi.
Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD |

The Storage QVL for the Z370 Taichi only lists the 250GB version of the 960 Evo. I assume that the 500GB and TB versions will work as well, but concerned by the omission from the list.
