I need to run a program as fast as it can, but I get Low CPU/GPU usage with CPU is Ryzen 5 1600 on AB350M Pro4 paired with GTX 1060. I think I'm not alone. Some have similar issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/6gfekn/extremely_low_gpucpu_usage_amd_ryzen_5_1600_gtx/ On an Intel based system, the same program can run close to 100% CPU (single-core) / GPU. Research online, some suggested flashing the BIOS (but I have trouble flashing it see http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6854&title=flashing-ab350m-pro4-bios). Anyway, please shed some light if you know if it's really the problem of AGESA and thus updating the BIOS would fix it? |

Expresii (http://www.expresii.com).
Actually, I believe most game-like apps suffer from the same issue. Just do a search and you see several threads: Some suggested flashing the BIOS and that's why I tried but ran into trouble and thus posting in this forum now. I bought a new machine with Ryzen hoping to get good performance but now the program runs even worse than on my much older Intel system. :( |
