System specs are follows

i7 8700k
asrock z370 k6
gskill trident 16gb
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
2x HDD 2 TB storage drives

The system is a new build that's been running fine for almost a month now. Been running prefect. Today I installed Orion Prelude and after the initial install the system was hanging. I uninstalled it, reinstalled, got it to run. Switched the resolution. and the system hung again. I restarted and now the mobo sees the drive but wont boot from it. I tried repairing and going into the BIOS but nothing seems to work. Mobo sees the SSD but when I try to boot its like there is nothing there. Just goes to the black screen asking for a boot device.

I'm getting an A2 code from Dr. Debug on the mobo. So its a SATA device issue. I reset the CMOS with a jumper pin (I didn't remove the battery, not sure if that makes a difference. Doesn't say to remove in the manual) which is recommended in the mobo guide. Still wont boot. Still getting an A2 code.

So I take the drive and put it into my old PC and it booted up. The drive seems fine. The OS and programs are on the drive. So I swapped SATA cables, swapped SATA input slots but it still wont boot on the z370 board. So I took the HDD from the other PC and put it in the z370 and it booted up the old PCs OS. I'm actually using it on the z370 to post to the forums. It booted on a port and cable I have tried to use on the SSD.

What am I missing here? Why would the SSD boot on another much older PC and why is the HDD booting on the Z370?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
