While I'm not 100% sure if your board employs it, I do know that UASP has been part of USB3.0 specs.

Did you install the AMD chipset drivers?

I don't have any external SSD devices, but external USB3.0 platter HDD easily does 110MBps (read), which is pretty much the limit of the HDD.

Different USB ports are hooked to different PCIe root complexes, meaning their performance will vary greatly, depending on the load on the PCIe bus (remember, the lanes are shared).

Also, did you check your UEFI for settings about USB/xHCI/Southbridge? Often the default UEFI settings are tuned for compatibility rather than speed/performance.

Out of curiosity, what speeds are the benchmarks achieving?

ASRock support this under their brand name XFast USB http://www.asrock.com/feature/XFast/XFastUSB/index.asp

All FM2/AM3 boards seem to support it, so there is a huge chance the AM4 boards support it too. You could also try and download the utility from their site.

Best way to know for sure - PM the ASRock_TSD guys here, open tickets with both AMD & ASRock.

I'm using AMD drivers for the chipset and Windoze ones for the NVMe controller.

I don't have an UASP device, though, so I can't verify if my drivers are provisioned for this mode.

Seeing that ASRock provides their XFast USB driver for their entire mobo fleet makes me think that none of the default drivers will be supporting UASP.
