Signed up as I was googling this, I'm hoping for a Bios for this too.
To answer your question - no, 7.20 doesn't contain the fix. We need a new bios for that, and to install the Windows patch. But without both we aren't covered. Hoping for a bios soon please Asrock.

Intel said they are delivering MicroCode Updates for 90% of their CPUs of the last 10 years. So Asrock has to do the same dilivering them via Bios Updates. Where are the Asrock Updates!? My Z77 Extreme6 board needs one too. Otherwise I dont see any reason to buy any Asrock products anymore in the future.

I am sure ASRock is hard at work, and probably has been for a while. I have noticed ASRock tends to air on the side of caution with their UEFI updates rather than trying to race to be first with releases. The nature of this update would suggest that there are some rather major deep level changes involved, we are talking about patching a Kernal level exploit after all.
Be patient, ASRock will not be dragging their heels with such an important fix, when they feel it is safe and ready for release the updates will go up. It isn't an overnight process.

The microcode update doesn't cover Meltdown AFAIK, only one of the two Spectre variants. Meltdown will receive - and has received - OS level patches, as will probably both Spectre variants (which are harder to both exploit and patch). |

Well, thanks Intel!
After M$' patch I'm seeing steady decline (~5%) in Cinebench, 3DMark, etc. Worst of all, my CrystalDisk 4KQ1T1 went down by 50%!!! |
