AMD's stated Max Temp is 70c.
http://products.amd.com/en-gb/search/CPU/AMD-FX-Series/AMD-FX-8-Core-Black-Edition/FX-8300/95

What is it running regularly?

I assume it's water cooled. Do you have a fan blowing over the VRM section?

edit to add AMD linkage

is your cpu overclocked?
i had fx6350 i could overclock it to 4ghz like nothing...stress test all fine...no errors...just it hard freezed once in a while
reducing cpunb voltage while increasing cpu vid voltage resolved it while temperatures were same ~50C on air durin stress test

btw your 68C could be a bit high on water
that 68 is whole cpu package...cpu dies usualy have few degrees more
