Oh yeah, I knew I was forgetting something.

The ram was G.Skill - Aegis 1x8gb DDR4-3000 memory F4-3000C16S-8GIS, I already tried putting it in either slot and no dice.

And yes, that particular ram stick isn't on the mobo's memory QVL. I would have gotten different ram if I knew about the QVL before buying it. But I heard it would at least run.

8 beeps -  Display memory Read/Write test failure
try one stick at a time in a2/b2 slots
and your post is missing your ram kits info

So here is the long and short of it. I can not get my new pc to post. Without ram the motherboard beeps 3 times. With ram it beeps 3 times and then an additional 8, there is no difference in beeping length. When I try to put in my graphics card nothing changes.

-Did I connect the CPU cooler and connector

-Did I clear the cmos

-does the graphics card have power

-does the board have power
yes
-Is the CPU placed properly
yes

Any help is appreciated.
