Hello, people!
Okay, where shall I start? I've got a lot of nooby questions, so please be nice. :D I bought an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and the ASRock B650I Lightning WiFi. The manufacturer website says, the core name for the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is Granite Ridge, but it's strange that Granite Ridge is listed under Raphael, which is the core name for the 7000 series. Is Granite Ridge and Raphael the same? Because there isn't a BIOSUBU file for Granite Ridge which would be required to update my motherboard via flashback to make the motherboard compatible with the CPU, but for Raphael. If I hover over "Global" to download the BIOSUBU file, the .zip file for Raphael will be downloaded. There seems to be no Granite Ridge BIOSUBU file. So does the Raphael file work with the 9600X as well, which would be actually Granite Ridge and not Raphael? Now to the issue with the flashing itself. I have done the following steps: Downloading the BIOS file https://imgur.com/n4U0v8h The newest BIOS version is the 3.08, but I've downloaded the 3.01 version instead for flashbacking, because the validated BIOSUBU file is the 3.01 version. https://imgur.com/2G0crJb 2. Downloading the BIOSUBU file (Raphael/Granite Ridge). https://imgur.com/mt33gnt & https://imgur.com/nHOUgW8 3. I used this USB flash drive: PNY Attaché 4gb https://imgur.com/QUlL4fV, formatting it, put the BIOS file and the BIOSUBU file on it and rename the BIOS file to PSPBIOS.IMG. https://imgur.com/pZeTQFB 4. Connecting my Corsair SF750's 24-pin to the motherboard, the power cable to the socket, and turn on my PSU. 5. I put my USB flash drive in the correct flashback slot, press the flashback button for about 3 seconds and a green blinking light appears. After waiting for about an hour with no success that the light stops blinking, The whole flash process should actually take about just a couple of minutes. I turned off my PSU, but the blinking light still remains, which is kinda weird because the motherboard isn't connected to the power any more. After a minute, I removed the USB flash drive. Now I'm here, absolutely clueless, and writing this. What did I do wrong? Note: That USB flash drive is kinda ancient, about older than 10??5 years for sure, but it's working. I updated the BIOS of my current PC for years with it. I'd be really grateful for some help. Are there people who prepared the B650I Lightning WiFi for the Ryzen 9000 series and give me some tips what I did wrong? :/ |
