I have a couple of sets of DDR4 Memory - EVGA 3000-15 and G.Skill Flare X 3200-14 (F4-3200 C14D-16GFX).

I bought both for a Ryzen system but after much screwing around it seems that the Ryzen system runs Handbrake better (or at least as good) with the EVGA Memory. Now that Intel has come out with the 8700K I'm ready to build a system using the 8700K.

My question and maybe a dumb one is - will the G.Skill Flare X 3200-14 memory XMP settings work correctly on an Intel Z370 based system even though it was "designed" for the AMD X370 world?

I guess this must have been an even dumber question than I thought since there has been no response! I can't believe I'm the only one that has this concern? Is there a program out there that would calculate the best settings for the G.Skill Flare X memory for the Intel Z370/8700K world. I assume the XMP settings for the G.Skill Flare X memory are not compatible with an Z370/8700K system or is there more going on than I realize??

Fairly simple deside for a mainboard check its Support siet for supported memory make and model.
i am using Ripjaws and they are giving me headaches, i should have bought the more expensive tridents because they seem to work just fine...

I understand how to check for compatible memory on the vendors web site. But...since the memory in question is not listed, as one would expect, I'm trying to figure out if the above G.Skill memory will work on a Z370 Taichi 1151 (300 Series) motherboard. I have purchased memory in the past that was not listed on the vendors site (example EVGA memory is not listed on the Asrock X370 Taichi memory list) and it worked just fine.

I would at least like to understand why it won't work on Z370 systems since it was "designed" for the Ryzen systems.

Parsec, where are you when I need some off the wall technical help?!

Well it is just not listed because ASrock or G.Skill never tested if they work together. They might but ASRock does not guarantee it. Just test it and if it does not work buy a new pair

The G.Skill Flare X (F4-3200C14D-16GFX) are in the QVL list of the Taichi Ultimate Z390.
According to post over the internet, they are supposed or confirmed to work properly in Z370 and Z390 mainboards. Me also thinks that the accent on "AMD compatible" is a bit misleading here.
