All ASRock AM4 motherboards are compatible with the Ryzen 2200G and 2400G APUs but they all need a BIOS update. Unfortunately you can't use the APU to do the update so it's not a good situation. If you order a motherboard and APU at the same time and from the same supplier they should really do their best to make sure they work together. In a few weeks time motherboards will probably have a label attached saying that they are compatible with the new processors but in the meantime there are a few options:
- Try to borrow a 1000-series Ryzen from a friend or another project - Register with AMD for a "Boot Kit" - Ask ASRock technical support for a replacement BIOS ROM, if the one on your motherboard is in a socket.
