So I am not sure what is up but when I restart my pc to UEFI when I am in the BIOS my mouse and keyboard do not work like they are not recieving power. When I try to get into the BIOS when the computer is booting the keyboard does not recieve power so there is no way for me to enter the BIOS. When I do get into the BIOS using the restart to UEFI keyboard and mouse have no power so I cannot change settings or anything.
I have no clue how to update the BIOS to see if that fixes the problem and also have no idea how to reset the BIOS by taking out the CMOS battery properly. Any help would be appreciated SPECS i7 7700k ASRock Z270 Extreme4 LGA1151 ATX 8GB T-FORCE DARK RAM GTX 1080 Ti 850 Watt PSU (forgot brand its hidden in case) |

Are you using the USB ports on the back panel (under the PS2 port) for keyboard and mouse ?
To Reset CMOS see your manual, it shows how to change the CMOS jumper in section 2-5 page 20 If that does not work, Xaltar wrote how to clear CMOS with battery removal: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal edit: hyperlink error Edited by badbri - 12 Mar 2018 at 10:09am |
