Hey guys! I just started working and received my first paycheck so I spent it on the AsRock TaiChi and Ryzen 1700 and was wondering if my RAM is supported (not buying until a week from now).

Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 3200MHZ

CMD16GX4M2B3200C16

I really hope so as that kit of memory would look extremely sexy for my build.

Seeings Corsair has neglected to update their Memory Finder Tool, best would be to fire an email off to them and inquire.

Two things going for you that it "should' work' just fine. First is the Taichi board itself. Second is, and here you chance bombing too, is, depending on what revision numbered Kit, they might be Samsung b-Die ICs. Or nasty Hynix IC's. Blame Corsair or the confusion.

Call, or email Corsair.

it seems the same money as comparable brands of ram that have a much better chance of working due to running samsung b dies

for example gskill 3200 flarex/ team group 3200 cl14 or cl16

as said above the taichi is quite good at dealing with less perfect ram

but why chance it ?

better idea to fully make sure your new ram is definately using b dies for the chips

link to suggested ram

review of the ram

to be honest gskill tridentz at 3200 cl14 will basically be the same

the trick is to find what brand has the samsung b dies (a good clue is low timings and the same primary latencies eg cl 14/14/14/ or cl 16/16/16 etc
