Another case of mine, a Lian -Li.
I used the same power unit in this, so solution for mounting the connector is via custom SFX plate from 3D printer. Same Lian Li case but now getting 160 watt Pico clone AB350 with R3 1200 and XFX aero 2GB GPU, 2x8GB Crucial ballistix Sport LT 2400, EVO 850 pro 256GB boot and 1TB Tosg data. Cooler is a Silvretta heatsink with an Arctic cooling Alpine 11 fan hybrid good for 100w TDP and silent. Case is probably worst case I ever had for building in....But soon be putting this build into the S197-H80 case and selling the Lian. Too big. Edited by stree - 23 Mar 2018 at 5:40am |

Mini PC fan I see
I would love to build something really tiny, maybe with an STX board and a Pico PSU. That power unit is impressive!

Yes, definitely SFF all the way now, and maybe STX if ones comes along with AM4.
I would recommend that power unit, custom built to order versions from 120w to whatever you want... mine is type C, limited edition with upgrade and custom cable set. The guy ( Gury) is great to deal with.........and makes more than power units, check his Discord page. https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/more-g-unique-bto-psus-are-now-available-direct-order.1983/ Smallest I have is I suppose the Raspberry Pi........ running with win 10 and fine for most video......but that is doing duty with a NAS right now as a music distribution component. PS all my SFF units have ASRock MBs, my fallback unit is a G3258 on H97m-itx-ac,,,,,,, solid little unit, never falters........Just need a 2200 or 2400 to be as well behaved now............. |
