When looking at the support/downloads page for the z370 Fatal1ty K6 motherboard, I notice that all the drivers are from last year. The Extreme4 which has very similar hardware has more recent drivers. What I wanted to know was will you be updating the drivers for the Fatal1ty K6 board, or do we need to find more current drivers elsewhere? If we have to find them elsewhere, where can we find more up-to-date drivers? Most or all of the drivers appear to be out of date.

Generally you can find the latest updates directly from intel long before any manufacturer puts them up on product pages.
Chipset drivers in particular tend to cover a broad range of products. That said, there is no need to update system drivers unless you are experiencing issues. Chipset drivers, LAN drivers, Sound drivers, etc don't change like display drivers. The only driver that is beneficial to update is your display driver and that is because AMD and Nvidia optimize their display drivers for better performance in specific games and, on occasion, more generally. When setting up a new system, I generally get all my drivers from the source so intel drivers from intel, nvidia from nvidia etc. ASRock (and all board manufacturers) will generally recommend you use the ones from their product pages as these have been tested with the product. I have never had issues with "untested" versions directly from the source however. If there is any chance of an issue (however remote) it makes sense that the manufacturer will recommend their own certified downloads. As a general rule, install the latest drivers when you install your OS and with any subsequent reinstalls but once the system is configured and running stable, leave them be unless you encounter issues.
