I suspect there will be a UEFI update for official support, after that it will be listed for sure, so better wait until then to be 100% sure of compatibility, but theoretically it should work even with current UEFI if it has AGESA PinnaclePI and not older.

just be careful with the new 2700x though compared to 2700 or 2600x
the 2700x has a higher tdp than any other ryzen cpu so you may be wiser to have the x370/x470 boards to support the extra power as said best to wait for official statement of support |

when checking the cpu support list for the brand new flagship taichi ultimate x470 .................. no support listed yet for the new 2700 and 2600 cpus  |

:)) I think ASRock adds support for new CPU's after the release date of said CPU's not to break NDA's like some other manufacturers, I guess :))

I would lean this way too. We have learned the hard way with AMD and VRM requirements in the past (FX 8k and 9k series anyone?). Even intel's 8th gen K SKUs push VRMs hard so don't be surprised if the more budget oriented boards can't handle the R7 2700x. I have no official info on the matter but as Datonyb said, there is a chance it may not work out very well using a high TDP CPU on a B350 board. In a few days we will all know more. I would wait until the reviews all drop, undoubtedly the backward compatibility with existing 300 series AM4 boards will be high on the agenda for testing.
