sorry bumpin old thread. Im using AB350 Pro4, the removable internal drive seems the bios problem, i tried to swap with another brand with the same B350 chipset there is no removable drive C: or other internal drive , this seems happend on bios 4.70 also the current 4.90.

u can fix this inside windows first make sure that write caching is enabled u can find that in control panel -> device manager -> disk drivers -> your drive - options Under Policies tab, make sure "write caching on the device" is enabled, there is no "optimize for quick removal" enabled. This is directly related with how Windows considers a drive being removable. if this wont apply for you, u can try in registry
then reboot and u should be done just a side note...powershell will work same way as command prompt
