Hello,
I've been looking at the forum and it seems to be a common issue with asrock motherboards (my first one, not pleasant atm). Anyway, my setup: Z370 Fatality K6 I3-8350k Patriot 2x8gb 3200mhz PV416G320C6K With XMP enabled, i get no post, it reboots a couple of times and then gets back to default settings. What i have tried: 1.-Same memos on 2 different motherboards a) Different motherboards (gigabyte z370 k7), XMP works b) Ryzen rig (gigabyte ab350 gaming 3), XMP works. 2.-Single stick on slot b2, xmp works (both sticks) 3.-Both sticks on a2-b2, xmp does not work 4.-Both sticks on a2-b2, no xmp manually set to 3000mhz 16-18-18-36 1T (1.35v). Works. 5.-Both sticks on a2-b2, no xmp manually set to 3200mhz 16-18-18-36 1T (1.35v). Doesnt work. I'm getting quite frustrated by now, i dont know how this feature doesnt work on a supposedly pretty decent motherboard. Any advice? Thanks. EDIT: forgot to mention, i've tried bios 1.2 - 1.6 - 1.8 EDIT2: my memos are on the QVL Edited by Mefisto - 11 May 2018 at 11:13pm |

CPU-Z may tell you. Under SPD tab, look at one of the stick, look at Part Number. CPU-Z accurately tells my exact G.Skill ram part number, maybe it will yours too. Otherwise look at one of the ram sticks, the label should tell you. If not then contact Kingston.

Ok, so i took my memos out and the closest it get to that serial is "11CF2". I also got in contact with asrock support by mail and they said that this memos should work without issues by just turning on XMP (clearly it doesnt) Finally, ive got an MSI Gaming M5 to git it a try on a third board aaaaand the memos worked with XMP as expected. Long story short, crappy BIOS. I have another rams coming so ill give this mobo a final chance.

anyway, got the snipers and it worked flawlesly, enabled XMP profile and it booted at 3600mhz with no issues. I guess that the bios just need some more work from asrock to improve compatibility.
Im keeping the mobo and selling the MSI |
