What if there is no "chipset configuration" within my ASRock's BIOS Advanced settings?
I found a PCI-E setting, but that is it. ASRock AB350 Pro4 no chipset configuration in advanced settings simply wanting to run an onboard and integrated monitor simultaneously Thanks in advance for any help. Will continue shooting troubles with what ammo I can find. DRock

Should be easy. In the Advanced, Chipset Configuration screen, find the IGPU Multi-Monitor option. Setting that to Enabled allows both graphics sources to work simultaneously. Otherwise, it is normal for either graphics source to be disabled when the other type is selected as primary. |

Does the discrete GPU cease to function when you set the onboard to primary? I would imagine it should still work and then allow both to be enabled simultaneously.
Failing that you can set your discrete GPU as primary and set the "shared memory" for the iGPU to anything other than "auto", this will force the iGPU enabled.

Hello all, I recently purchased the Z170 extreme4+ and built my rig around it. Everything is going swimmingly, except that I can not use my HDMI port for output. I have discovered that the BIOS disabled the onboard graphics in the presence of my GPU but in doing so, disables the use of the HDMI port for me. I discovered this by enabling the onboard as default to which the HDMI port worked. When I set the GPU as primary, the HDMI port is shut off.
How can I have both enabled at the same time? -Akabecco
