Hi,

I have this board and would like to install with Windows XP SP3.  But whenever I boot up with the WinXP SP3 CD, I get a blue screen with error as per attached.  I already disabled the ACPI and the problem still persist.  Please advice.

Thanks & Regards

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Could you list the rest of the system specs for us? We need to know what kind of hard disk/s you are using, are they internally or externally mounted?

Windows XP does not install or run on external drives in its default state unless they are E-SATA (external SATA not the newer "ESATA" standard), it requires boot drivers and in many cases these cannot be found for USB external drives.

For the same reasons as above you cannot install windows XP onto a flash drive either (you can install it from a flash drive however). If your drive is internal then try setting it to legacy/IDE mode in your BIOS and try again.

Hi Xaltar,

My setup was using a SAMSUNG 120GB SSD (internal) and a KINGSMAX 2GB RAM.  BIOS was set to IDE instead of AHCI.

Thanks & Regards
