hello!
Tried bios 7.40, and 1.50 all results are the same
when pressing X to enable sky-oc the pc shuts off then turns back on with a black screen. If I get the pc to POST I get into windows and bus speed is the same memory is the same, so I try to to back into the bios because sometimes it just boots straight into windows and I default the bios, and try to manually overclock, no POST. Ive gotten the beta bios 1.35 to work work with overclocking, however it would be nice to be on the latest bios and overclocked.
all bioses were flashed with instant flash and my intel ME is 11.6.0.1026
im currently on the beta bios 1.35 and windows showing intel me 11.6.0.1026 im stable at 4.55GHz, but why doesnt the latest bios sky-oc not work if its there, am I missing a step, and theres no detailed insturctions on the product page either.

Sky OC for non K CPUs was killed by intel. If you want to overclock, you need a K CPU sadly. ASRock has tried repeatedly to implement features like this but intel keeps shutting it down. It makes sense, they want their more costly CPUs to sell.

If you have a board with SKY OC working, don't update the BIOS or you will lose it, even flashing back seems not to restore it (microcode changed by update).

If your board has a socketed BIOS chip you could contact ASRock and order a new one with the original BIOS flashed on it (that supports SKY OC).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

alright, its just confusing as on the newer bios, at the splash screen it has the press X for Sky-OC but it doesn't work, would also think the updated bioses would have fixes too, but I guess, I wanna keep my overclock so ill stay on 1.35 thanks :)
