if it hangs on the windows loading ring  it sounds like a raid/ahci mode or ide mode problem to me  | |

I just built a new HTPC with the AB350M Pro 4, 2400g, and Samsung 970 Evo 256gb M.2. It went flawlessly. I had no issues installing Windows on it or anything. it's been running perfectly.

I was trying to get one running with the AB350 Gaming ITX/AC and having a similar issue.  I could never get it to boot right with the NVMe PCIe installed.  If I removed it, it would boot quickly but with it installed it would seem to hang.  With the NVMe installed, I could never get windows to finish a boot, the board would restart or shutoff.  It was recommended I RMA the board and now I'm thinking I may be better off getting something else.

I had issues with a Samsung 960 Pro and this particular MoBo without really ever finding a solution. Worst part was that even after install and boot to the SSD it would still fail to boot on occassion meaning that the error/fix was somehow not repeatable. Shelved the CPU for a while (been super busy with work) - but am going to get back to it this evening I believe. Hopefully there have been some updates to firmware to help me but given that you are experiencing the same issues I imagine a MoBo upgrade is probably the best solution  | |

| Hello, I recently bought a ryzen 3 2200G, an asrock ab350m pro4 and an nvme drive, the Kingston A1000 but after trying in every possible way to install an OS (tried both win 10 and Linux) I believe that the two components are not compatible, anyone has experiences about this? Basically everytime I get one error or another saying that the system can't read from the drive, tried to install from pendrive and dvd, in mbr and gpt, with different OS and everything I could think of or find on the Web. Updated the bios to the latest version and even tried beta. The point is, everything works fine on an old ide hard drive, which is the one I'm using right now out of desperation (I didn't have a ssd to try). The nvme drive was installed in the main M.1 port. There's any chance that in the future I could see my drive supported by this mobo? | |
