I tried upgrading from 4.60 to this 4.80 on X370 Gaming K4 and I'm having serious issues with this BIOS and recent Linux kernel (4.17). It simply doesn't boot completely, while being somewhat responsive. It boots in rescue mode, which enables just basic features. It also works with older kernel (4.15) and Windows 10. Downgrading to 4.70 fixed the issue and everything works as before. I'm not sure if it actually has new AGESA but it does have a new microcode version, it shows 08001137 in 4.80 rather than 08001136 in 4.70. Edited by excieve - 14 Jul 2018 at 6:20am | |
