Dear Gothen1234,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your case, we provide some suggestion to try.

1.       Please install the memory module at A2, B2 to check.

2.       Please only install one stick memory at B2 slot.

About the double boot, if you have change the BCLK frequency, the system needs to boot up twice to apply the BCLK frequency.

ASRock also provide the memory support list for our customer reference, all the memory module on the memory support list have been tested and can works properly.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD

Hello all,

I have recently purchased an Asrock Extreme4 Z370 for use with an 8086k. Currently have an All core OC of 5GHz and delid.

I quickly discovered that my RAM (G.Skill Trident RGB 3200 CL16) does not post with XMP enabled. Suggestions from other sites involved manually setting IMC voltage. No change.

If I set the values manually the board refuses to post, but if I change the reference clock to '133' then the system posts and memtest86 shows 0 errors. A slight variation on this:  http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6684&title=z370-extreme4-xmp-issues-other-mobo-issues

My new problem is that the system double boots, the first time it turns on for 7 seconds then shuts off, then turns on, posts within 3 seconds and is in windows within maybe 3 seconds. Feels like a bit of a cop out when posting quadruples boot times.

I've seen another thread where they resolved the double booting problem:
http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8279&title=z370-extreme4-boots-twice

But they've not been able to solve the double boot problem with XMP enabled and running correctly.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I'd be more than happy to provide more details.

If something's not worth fixing, bodge it as best you can.
