I've have memory compartability issue (corsair 3600 4x16gb defaulted to 2133), for x399 asrock taichi and started from Uefi update.

I've used internet update, file was downloaded very fast, but update is very slow itself, it says "do not shut computer" and flashing. After 8 hours it now at 20% progress. Do uefi update really need 40 hours, and what should I do now?

Do the power outage will brick the board?

it should take less than 5 mins so you are in the 'middle' of a problem

yes you will have to stop it and its highly likely it will brick the board

but good news your board has bios flashback feature

so get a good known bios download load3d onto a usb stick ready to perform a bios flashback
instructioins are in your manual

in future for bios flashing remember before starting bios flash reset everything in bios back to defaults/stock and then i suggest just insert 1 stick of ram to reduce risk of data errors

I've interrupted process. Flashed UEFI to 3.2 version. Memory problems was due to mem sticks was installed incorrectly (A1 A2 B1 B2 instead of A2 B2 C2 D2). I.e. looks like working now but I can't install windows :(
