My system is built on an Asrock z87 pro4 board. I recently tried to install a 4790k as an upgrade but the pc just repeatedly reboot once installed. All worked fine when I re-installed my older 4670k. The Bios version is 2.3 Version 2.3 is the version needed for the 4790k. I assumed that to be ok. I noticed however that there is an Beta bios of 2.50. but I've no idea what it does. Is there anywhere Beta BIOS versions are detailed? I get the feeling that the 4790k I tried is working so could there be a point in flashing this newer BIOS and seeing if it helps. So far I can't find any details for the update.
