Hello. I have installed 4x8gb flare x 3200 dimms on my Taichi x399 system (1950x) and have recently noticed that it reads them as 2400. Is there a specific way to set them up that I am missing? Thank you in advance.

Right. Excuse my English. The meaning was that I haven't done anything and should I do something. So, thanks. I enabled XMP 3200 but inside windows, using HWmonitor I get G.Skill DDR4 - 2400.

ok
so in bios you need to select xmp then 3200
then go to exit page
select save and exit
and let it reboot

it *should* reboot at normal speed into windows and show 3200

but
if there is an instability then the pc will take much longer to reboot (your pc case speakker will bleep a few times) and this is a sign its trying to get the new 3200 speed and timings to work
if it take more than 2-3 attempts it will give up and reset the bios back to safe/defaults
(this may be whats happening to you) and then of course the pc will boot into windows with the default jedec ram speed

soooooooo you need to see whats happening AFTER you select xmp 3200

please install a program called cpuid or cpuz (same thing different name)
click on the tab named memory it should display as 1599 mhz
this will confirm if the ram is running at 3200 (ddr=double data rate)

Hi. I did as you recommended and it appears to be so. Weird. Thank you very much for the advice.

no problem mate we are all here to try and help

maybe the section of hw info your looking at reports the default jedec speed and NOT the current speed ?
