Hi,

When I turn on my brand new build am not getting any signal to my monitor.

I have tried 2 different monitors, with 2 different HDMI cables and one VGA cable.

The BIOS_A_LED1 light comes on red, which I believe is normal. My CPU and chases fans are spinning fine.

I have plugged in both the main 24pin motherboard power and the ATX12 ( CPU power ).

ASRock - Z370 Extreme4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor
Noctua - NH-D15S 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Samsung - 970 Evo 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Fractal Design - Define R5 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Antec - Earthwatts Gold Pro 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
G.Skill - Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

I thought there might be a problem with the RAM as its listed as 'designed for AMD Ryzen Platforms' but from what I've read it should still work on z370 platforms??

I've taken off the cooler and there doesn't seem to be any bent pins on the CPU at all. I've tried putting the memory in different slots.  It is in the 2nd and 4th slot at the moment.

I have the M.2 NVE drive in the M2_1 slot as well.

Can someone please assist me? I'm really afraid my CPU might be dead or something ( although I can't see why as I have taken every precaution.

Many thanks.

ok, I 'think' I've found the problem.

There seems to be an issue with 1 of my ram sticks.  If I use 1 of the sticks it works in all slots and I can boot into BIOS now.

If I use the other I get nowhere, so I'm assuming its just a faulty RAM module?

I just finished building my new PC and when I power it on, every part lights up and fans start spinning. However, after connecting the computer to my monitor via a VGA cable, the monitor just went blank. The monitor I have is a Samsung Syncmaster SA300. I don't understand what's happening and I was so excited when everything lit up then my dreams where crushed when I couldnt see a display. Please help, I'm a first time builder! :(
