Couple of things - if RAM is DDR3 1866 it should be from mobo's QVL (FX4320 supports it); if RAM is DDR3 it should be put in DDR3_A1 slot (second from left to right).

With all of the above in mind - put your old parts in, flash to BIOS 1.70 (again); clear CMOS with jumper (pull the power cord first); boot with old parts; put new CPU (re-paste the cooler) & RAM and clear CMOS again.

Tell us what happens then.

is you bios version latest and greatest?
btw for cmos reset u dont need to take out your cpu/ram/battery, just disconnect cable from psu (or switch to off button) than switch jumper for like few seconds, than switch it back) than either connect cable to psu (if disconnected or switch power button on psu to on

I have a 960GC GS-FX for which the warranty cover expired in March 2017. However just before the expiry of the warranty Asrock has replaced the board with an identical new board in RMA. I run Athlon X2 5200+ and DDR2 800MHz 4GB on the mobo. Recently I have purchased a AMD FX4320 and DDR3 4GB RAM 1066Mhz to upgrade my PC. However I find that the motherboard fails to boot after I replace the processor and the RAM modules with the new ones. It takes overnight (12hrs) to clear CMOS . I have to leave the mobo bare without processor and RAM modules attached and CMOS battery taken out and jumper placed in clear CMOS position overnight (8-12hrs). When I attached the newly purchased processor and RAM modules next day it boots without any hassel. I have experienced this in other AMD or Intel motherboards when they grow old but couldn't find any explanation why this happens let alone solve it. Please suggest a remedy to this.
