Why are asrock so slow with updates

I have had such a unpleasant experience buying my first asrock motherboard.
I've had issues since day one and some have been fixed with latest bios update but why do these take so long, other manufactures had the update in April and I've only just got mine :(
Another example is driver updates, I have a a320m hdv board, which on the asrock site now has quite old drivers, again I go onto other manufactures websites, select a board with the same chipset and they all have upto date drivers.
It's wrong that I have given my money to asrock but have to use another manufactures website to get the latest updates.
And I still have unanswered questions regarding the power management of my setup as changing power plan options within Windows does not change the processor speed at all, it always still fluctuates even though I want it to run at 100%.
Asrock after sales support in my opinion is zero percent. It's unexpectable

Asrock after sales support in my opinion is zero percent. It's unexpectable I probably can't fully answer all of your questions but bare with me and we'll get through all of your issues. 1. I can't speak for your specific board but I have owned a lot of Asrock boards, 890FX, P67, P68, Z77, X370, and now X470 chipset based boards and always found firmware updates to be pretty good for these boards usually arriving quicker than most other manufacturers. A little inside tidbit I can say is that Asrock do tend to test their firmwares more vigourously than other manufacturers (which is why you'll find far less posts here from people about firmware updates that bricked their board vs. other manufacturers) so if there is some delay this is why. Quality takes time. 2. I have never, ever, used drivers available from a mainboard manufacturers page they tend to always be out dated your best bet is to do as I do; go directly to the manufacturers website that makes the component you are looking for the latest drivers for ;) 3. What problems have you been experiencing? If you give me as many details as I can I can pass them on to my contacts to look in to for you.

Firstly in regards to the bios updates, I had the dreaded problem of the gpu underclocking on the and ryzen 3 2200g. I believe this problem was fixed on agesa 1.0.0.2
Now that update came out April time and other board manufactures had this available the same month but for my board from asrock the bios update only came out last week so a 5 month wait compared to others is a long wait no matter how much you try and justify that asrock test them more, that's to long for a problem that was making my system almost unusable for what I needed it for.
There was a beta bios added to support in May but this did not work for me. Kodi froze up my system on starting this program using this bios but no other bios version caused this problem.
So basically I purchased this a320m-hdv board 6 months ago and I'm now only just able to use it for what I purchased it for after waiting 5 months for this update which other manufactures released 5 months ago! (Surely you can see my anger towards asrock based in this)

Secondly regarding drivers, I use to get my drivers direct from manufacture but have had a couple of problems with missing chipset drivers in the past by doing it this way, downloading from manufacture has solved this.
Also it appears realtek no longer update the hd audio driver no more as it's a old version on there site.
But again this is my point regarding slow updates, if say I go to msi for example and choose one of there a320 chipset boards they have upto date drivers that match the version on the manufactures website.

Thirdly my last problem I'm still trying to figure out is the power management.
I have the a320m-hdv board with a ryzen 3 2200g and changing power plans does not have any change on the processor speed.
I have high performance, amd ryzen balanced, normal balanced and power save.
I would assume selecting high performance the processor should run at full power but it doesn't.
The amd ryzen balanced is suppose to idle at 90% but it doesn't.
Basically my processor idles at 1.5ghz no matter what power plan is selected which suggest to me it's not working.
In the past I've always set up all my computers to high performance and they have always ran 100% (verified by cpu-z).
I like it that way, my computer is only on when I use it so don't need to power save.
I mainly use my computer for photo editing with Adobe lightroom but also do a little light gaming.
Since having this new build I have a occasional lag within lightroom that I believe is down to the processor constantly changing clock speed. Every so often I get the blue circle and lightroom says it's not responding for a few seconds then comes back to life. It's kind of annoying as my old build does not do this.
I've even fresh installed Windows 10 on the old and new build in the exactly the same way with only lightroom installed.
Only difference is the old build when I select high performance power plan the cpu actually stays at 100%.
The old build has a amd Athlon x4 641 cpu with half the amount of ram and just seems to perform better.
I feel as though I've just wasted my money.

That is a long wait  I'm not sure why you had to wait so long a quick check on the A320M-HDV page shows firmware updates have been coming pretty thick and fast, every couple months or so. In all honesty you haven't missed anything with AMDs AGESA 1002a it was very, very buggy. The latest 1004C from AMD is very solid though. 2. Realtek do release updated drivers still bizarrely not on their website though instead you can find them HERE. Personally I've never had an instance where the drivers coming direct from source have been missing parts. 3. That is odd, I've never heard of a power plan issue quite like that. Not owning a 2200G I'm shooting from the hip a bit here but some suggestions; - Set power plan to high performance in Windows > click "Change plan settings" > click "change advanced power settings". - Go to "Processor power management" > scroll to the minimum and maximum processor states, are both of them set to 100%? Secondly, download firmware 3.4 and 4.9 from HERE If you are already running firmware 3.4 then skip downloading that and download 4.9. Extract the archive and place the firmware image on a FAT formatted USB stick, reboot, enter the firmware and update to 4.9 via Instant Flash. If you aren running a firmware older than 3.4 you MUST update to 3.4 before updating to 4.9. If the above doesn't work theres a few more things you can try search the firmware for and change the following; Increase shared memory to at least 1G (if nothing else you'll have a smoother gaming experience) See if you have a C6 mode option in the firmware, if so disable it Look for an option labelled PSPP (PCIe Speed Power Policy) if you have one, set it to "Performance" Look for the HPET Table option, disable it Let me know how that goes.
