Post code 46 is a memory initialization code. Generally when you get this code you should pull the CPU and check for bent pins then reseat the CPU and RAM. Then clear CMOS and try again. If that still pops a 46 post code then see if you can try a RAM module from a different brand/model. Also only use one RAM module for testing until you are able to get a proper POST screen.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Just build my new system and can't get it to display or do anything and all i get is error 46 on the motherboard.. From what i'm  seeing that error usually a ram issue of some kind. My ram is compatible with the motherboard if i read the Asrock compatibility form correctly.  I checked all my connections, tried both ram sticks in different slots and reset cmos more then once. Even with my ram removed entirely i still get error 46 which someone said somewhere might make it a motherboard issue?

Grateful for any help/support. TY
