I still have notable problems with HDMI outuput on my J5005-ITX.
Even with BIOS 1.30 (later 1.30 Beta and now 1.40) I regularly have problems with HDMI and don't have outout on HDMI until the desktop is loaded. This means, that I don't see the BIOS splash screen (fulls screen mode) and also not the boot loader menu (GRUB2, text mode). I only get a picture when the desktop is loaded. It doesn't appear always but quite often. I'm using Windows 10 and Linux (Mint Xfce) in dual boot. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is. I'm also not able to say when it happens and when not. From my point of view the probem with HDMI output was not fixed with BIOS 1.30! In my point of view ASRock has to fix this problem. The bad HDMI support is a main issue of this board, in particular if you use it as Media PC/HTPC with HDMI. P.S.: Of course, I did the update to BIOS 1.30 with closed jumper. |

One case, the HDMI output is missing (until the desktop is loaded), is after leaving the BIOS settings (with Save & Exit). In this case the BIOS boot screen and the boot loader menu seems to be missing always!
