I just got Asrock X570 Taichi to use with Ryzen 9 3900X and 4 sticks or RAM (32GB to run at 3600CL16 XMP). Do I need to use ATX 12V2, or 12V1 is still enough?

Dear Oughlyn,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

You can connect 8-Pin ATX 12-V connector only; the extra 4-Pin 12-V is optional for extreme overclocker.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD

Hi,
One question: if the extra 4 pin ATX 12v2 is required if the 8 pin ATX12v1 is connected.
Would system work only the 8 pin connection and cause any harm?
Thanks
