Does 870 Extreme3 R2.0 support AMD FX8300

To answer your last question, yes the CPU Support List for the 870 Extreme3 R2.0 was created long before the FX-8300 was released. But there is a story about this.

The FX-8300 CPU was originally sold only as an OEM type processor. That means only sold to manufactures of pre-built PCs. It was not sold at the usual retail level.

Starting in 2016, AMD began selling the FX-8300 at the retail level. So in a sense this is a new processor on the market.

The good news is, as long as you have BIOS 1.80 in your board, the FX-8300 will work with it.
