Z97 Extreme4 not powering on after unplugged

   Thanks for this post.  I am having a similar issue.  No matter what I did I could get absolutely nothing after turning power on.  I tested the psu on another computer and found nothing wrong with it.  I shorted PS_ON as you suggested and components came on.  I was afraid my mobo was dead so I tried plugging the main power connector back into the motherboard with the PS_ON jumped to COM with a single strand of copper wire.  Turned the psu on and everything comes to life and mobo lights come on like normal.  After that the power button works to turn it on and off.  There must be something wrong with the motherboard to the PS_ON pin.
