990 FX Killer board compatible w Samsung Evo 850

You have an M.2 Samsung EVO, which you've mounted on your board, did you need to move the mounting standoff on the board to the 80mm mounting point?

With the 850 EVO in the M.2 slot, try clearing the UEFI/BIOS, and then check the following:

In the UEFI/BIOS, Storage Configuration screen, SATA Mode should be set to AHCI.

SATA IDE Combined Mode must be set to Disabled, it should be by default.

You cannot use the M.2 slot and the eSATA3 port at the same time.

I can only go by what is shown in your board's manual, and I don't see an entry for the M.2 slot in the Storage Configuration screen. If your board's UEFI/BIOS has an entry for the M.2 slot, let us know. If it does not have an entry for the M.2 slot in that screen, don't bother looking for it there.

Assuming no M.2 slot entry in the Storage Configuration screen, or even if there is an entry, in the UEFI/BIOS, go to the Tools screen and start the System Browser feature. When it is displayed, move the mouse pointer over the M.2 slot area, which should already show the 850 EVO in the slot.

You may also see the 850 EVO included in the Boot order, in the Boot screen.

I did end up finding it in the system browser and it showed up in the boot options screen. I couldn't find it in the boot options prior.  Anyways, thank you for your help.
