Bord won't detect HDD

   So I have an Asrock b350 fatality k4 motherboard and I recently purchased an m.2 nvme ssd.when I inserted the side in the first m.2 slot i couldn't see it in the boot options but when I entered the SSD secure erase tool under the tools tab I could see it. So then I tried unplugging my had and leaving only the ssd and it worked my ssd showed up but when I installed my had and rebooted I still could see only one of the drive(this time the ssd).my question is how could I make it so both drives show up.
