idle temps doubled after bios update x299 extreme4

After updating bios from 1.0 to 1.3, idle temps doubled in the bios hardware monitor. before they were idling at 18, after bios update 36. what could be the reason for this??
ASRock x299 extreme4 with core-x 7960x
