I own an Asrock Z790 PRO RS motherboard with the latest BIOS installed (15.01).

I have Fast Boot set to Disabled because I enjoy seeing what goes on behind the scenes. Plus, the regular boot was fast enough.

A couple of days ago I added an Intel X550-T2 PCIe LAN card to the PCIE3 port (right below the graphics card).

After that, I noticed that everytime my PC boots up, it takes a few good seconds before it starts to properly boot, and during that time I see the white underscore "_" at the top left of my screen. In the past, I used to see it for half a second, now it stays on for a few seconds before the whole boot process starts.

The Intel card works fine in my system, but I'm worried about this delay - what could be the issue?

Thanks!
