Hi,
though I'd make a rant about issues I've had in case someone knows solutions to these or if this helps somebody else. Just finished a new build a few weeks back with this mobo. Updated latest BIOS from the get-go, which back then was 3.06. Initial boot went fine, just needed to wait for the RAM training after which I was able to start installing Windows 11. System specs: AMD 7800X3D Kingston FURY Renegade M.2 2TB PCIE 4.0 NVMe 2x16 GB RAM (G.Skill Flare X5 F5-6000J3038F16GX2-FX5) 850W PSU (Seasonic FOCUS-GX-850) NZXT H5 Flow RGB case Tweaking around I eventually got to a point where I powered off the system, and when powering back on there was no picture. Waited for a good 5 minutes and nothing was happening. Powered the system down again, and after that it booted just fine. Now every time I power down the system I have to go trough the same procedure where I try to persuade the thing to boot up, often times it takes a couple of tries. Haven't found a setting yet which would resolve the issue, I think it's got something to do with the RAM training probably getting triggered every time the system gets powered off/on. Tried some different BIOS settings which I don't remember right now, but someone on the internet mentioned they helped, didn't help for me. Well that's all ok, since I don't really need to power down the system, I can just let Windows 11 go to sleep, it's quick to get back running from sleep mode anyway. Except there's a weird behavior where sometimes the sleep mode shuts off all the lights from the computer, and sometimes it leaves some lights on, like the power button light of the chassis. Dunno what's up with that, haven't found a setting that would have any effect to this. Dunno if it's a difference between hibernation/sleep, but I think I turned the other option completely off weeks ago already and didn't find the setting about that right now. This might very well be an issue with Win11 but who knows. The latest incident happened when I went to the computer this morning and saw that it was not sleeping, not hibernating, even though during the night it definitely should have gone to one of those modes. Instead the system was completely on and awake, except for the fan LED's which where all completely dark. Tried the ASRRGBLED control software, it didn't even find the LED controller and wouldn't start! Tried rebooting of course, no help. Tried completely powering down the system, had a good 5 minutes trying to persuade it to boot (read the first issue above), no help. Found some page from the internet which said to try and clear the CMOS, and that eventually did the trick! Of course I once again had to spent a good 10 minutes trying to get the system up and running and setting up BIOS after that. So all in all, a very frustrating experience so far, and an awful lot of the issues seem to revolve around this mobo. Anybody else having the same issues or know any solutions? |

Do you have the same RAM modules as I do? Thinking at least some of the issues might be due to incompatibility, as my RAM kit seems not to be listed in the memory QVL table: https://pg.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B650E%20PG%20Riptide%20WiFi/index.asp#MemoryRAP |

Hey buddy, having a lot of issues as well, but mine are worse, and I have the same CPU and memory modules.
Did you ever resolve your issues? I put it together, everything went perfectly for about a week when I started getting blue screens and after investigating a bit it pointed to memory issues. Did a memory test and it?™s erroring out like crazy whatever the settings. So I tried to update the bios and it didn?™t work but I eventually managed to do it. I?™m at 3.10 the latest version. The pc booted once after that, went to windows, everything seemed fine, then I rebooted to set up everything in bios but I?™m not getting any image anymore. At all. |

Hi, after my first message I've had no big issues, but that's because I haven't fully powered down the system since. The computer goes to sleep/hibernate/whatever mode, and seems to be waking up from it ok'ish: Sometimes it wakes up just by pressing a keyboard/mouse button, and sometimes I'll need to wake it with the power button, but either way it wakes up. I've had no bluescreens myself, at least not yet. Seems I've gotten a bit more lucky than you with the memory modules I guess? I do have the 3.09 BIOS still installed so that could theoretically explain the difference, though you'd think that a newer version would work better... I'd be interested to know if you end up replacing the motherboard or mem sticks, and if that'll sort things out for you. |

Thanks for getting back to me, yeah it ended up being one of the memory sticks, had to replace the pair, but it?™s been quite stable since. |
