I have the Ryzen 9 5900x CPU (Vermeer) and it is suppose to support Gen 4 x 8 on both PCI-E slots that are connected to the CPU (PCIE 1 and PCIE3).

The PC boots and runs, but 1 of the GPUs either is unstable (and eventually errors out) or runs at a very slow PCIE speed such that the GPU can never get to 100% load.

The BIOS settings for PCIE1 is only Auto, 4x4, 1x8 and 4+4, or 4+4 and 1x8.

The cards work fine if I put 1 in PCIE 1 and the second in PCIE 5 which is connected to the chipset. But I would like the second card to work at 4x8, not 4x4.

This is extremely frustrating and I've wasted two weeks on this. The manual and marketing materials say this is supposed to work! That is the reason I bought this board!!!
