I recently got a new moba, cpu, ram and storage. I put it all together, and now I'm trying to install Windows 11. I selected the NVMe m.2 as the drive win11 will go on. I have even used the shift+F10 trick during the win11 installation to use diskpart to clean and covert it to GPT as well. I go through the installation process, computer resets, but it just boots back to the very beginning of the win11 installation setup.
And just for extra clarity, once win11 "installs", it's restarts and goes back to the "select language/time" menu. I have never been to "select country" screen yet, which looking at youtube videos is what I should see next after it restarts. I am aware it might be doing this because the USB is still plugged, so I start up the bios after win11 setup restarts to change the boot drive to the 990 pro I installed win11 on. However, while the 990/m.2 drive shows in the bios menu, I can't select it as a boot option. Again, the 990 is on the bios, but I can't select it as a boot option on ez or advance mode. I understand that TPM and secure boot need to be enabled, while CSM needs to be disabled for win11 installation. The only time I'm able to select the 990 pro as the boot drive is if secure boot is off, with CSM and TMP is enabled. If i try to boot up this way, an underscore appears at the top left corner of the screen appears, blinks once, turns solid, then stays on that screen forever. I've spent days trying to get this computer to work. I'm thinking about installing a fresh, new win11 installer on the usb and using another USB to flash the bios to 3.10 again. I genuinely dont know what to do. None of the POST lights are on, so im thinking its none of the hardware, but drivers/software/bios settings. I must be missing something, but i would be very thankful for any advice. Also, if it helps, I don't mind wiping/re-installing anything, all my important data is off my computer. Also, a small note, I have my old SATA SSD with my Win10 on it, but if i try to boot that (only TMP and CSM enabled, wont work with secure boot), it comes to the solid, underscore screen.
