The pico 80 and N3150M finally arrived but the manual incorrectly says: "This motherboard provides two 204-pin DDR3/DDR3L (Double Data Rate 3) DIMM slots" Will have to wait a few days more for some 240 pin. Note to asrock: Please make sure your manuals are accurate! Edited by David257 - 27 Oct 2015 at 3:59am |

Thanks for the heads up on the manual, I have to be honest, I did not read it cover to cover for the review. Maybe I should do so in future.

Well, this board is one of the "new wave" with hard soldiered EEPROM chip.

These SoC boards are commonly set up like this. It makes sense seeing as the only upgradable thing on the board is RAM and there are not often many BIOS updates for these systems so the likelihood of a bad flash or BIOS failure is pretty slim. I would have liked to have seen a socketed EEPROM but at this price point you really can't complain. My N3150M is working flawlessly and I had no issues with the BIOS update I performed on it. I am waiting for my budget to loosen up a little so I can pick up a GTX 950 or R7 360 for it and build a little gamer out of it for the TV.

Well, pleased to report the 80w pico works fine. Compared to my Q1900DC ITX, movies/tv seem a little smoother playback, and even sharper unless I'm imagining it. The x16 and x1 slots are also really useful for extra cards. Using 1.35v Ballistix Tactical (8GB)
Happy so far
